Jason Day admits he is currently in dreamland after opening a five-stroke lead at the halfway stage of the BMW Championship.
The 27-year-old Aussie is in the form of his life as he
chases a fifth PGA Tour victory of the season and fourth in his last six
starts.
And on the opening two days at Conway Farms in Illinois,
Day has posted rounds of 61 and 63 to mover five shots clear of the
field.
Day, who was unable to complete his opening round on Thursday evening
due to bad light, returned on Friday morning facing a 44-yard chip
that, if holed, would have given him a 59.
In the end he needed three more swings for a 61 before continuing in his rich vein of form in round two.
Day has broken 70 in 20 of his most recent 22 rounds which have been played at a cumulative 83 under par.
And Day said of his hot streak: "I don't know how else to explain the way I've been playing.
