Real Madrid stars return to Spain after pre-season tour... and Cristiano Ronaldo is glad to be back after missing his home food

Real Madrid have returned to Spain following a successful pre-season tour of Australia and China.

After beaten AC Milan 10-9 on penalties in Shanghai on Thursday night, Cristiano Ronaldo and Co looked delighted to be back on home soil.

The Portugal star smiled for a selfie on the plane with defenders Pepe and Marcelo before posting another snap of himself eating at home with the caption: 'I was missing my home food!!

James Rodriguez also posted a selfie to the social media site alongside Luka Modric and striker Karim Benzema with the trio looking happy to be back in Spain.

Rafa Benitez's side won the International Champions Cup both in Asia and Australia this summer and will now take part in the Audi Cup. 

The La Liga giants face Tottenham at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday August 4 while Bayern Munich face AC Milan. Depending on the results of the two fixtures, the La Liga giants will face the German champions or Milan on Wednesday August 5.

Taking part in their seventh pre-season fixture of the summer against Norwegian side Valerenga in Oslo on August 9, Real Madrid then kick off their La Liga season against Sporting Gijon two weeks later.
